1/2 of 6 Gedintailor, location
Half of Six, Gedintailor, is situated about 7 miles south of Portree, at Braes. The cottage is at the end of a long private track, which is shared with one other house, our neighbours, who live on the adjacent working croft.
The neighbouring property is behind the cottage and the cottage itself is very private. It faces the sea (Narrows of Raasay) and Raasay island. There are good sea views from upstairs - and from the garden, which has views all the way over to the Scottish mainland and Black Cuillin. There are wonderful views of the Red Cuillin too. It is an attractive 10 minute walk to the beach, through fields and along the township single track road.

View from the cottage overlooking the Red Cuillin and the sea, taken late on a July evening.

The sandy beach at Braes is a ten minute walk across fields. This picture was taken close to the beach.

Map of the local area - the cottage is located near the 'o' in Gedintailor, 6 miles south of Portree.

This picture was taken from the 'coffee rock' 50 metres in front of the cottage, with views towards Raasay, with the Old Man of Storr in the far distance (below)
